Two new anti racism development opportunities for Liverpool City Region
Voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations across the Liverpool City Region are invited to take part in two new opportunities provided through the LCR Race Equality Hub following on from VS6’s ongoing work with the hub.
The two new programmes, delivered by Mabadiliko CIC, follow on from previous programmes aiming to champion the vital role of the VCFSE sector in addressing racial inequalities and injustice, in line with the commitments set out in our manifesto.
1. VCS Anti-Racism Self-Evaluation Framework (20 organisations)
Up to 20 VCSE organisations across Liverpool City Region are being invited to complete the VCS Anti-Racism Self-Evaluation Framework - a self-led reflective process that takes just 30-45 minutes. Participating organisations will receive:
An individualised report summarising key reflections, strengths, and priority areas
A practical implementation guide with concrete actions
An invitation to a cross-organisational learning event on 18 March
Please find more information about the self-evaluation framework and register your interest here.
2. EMPOWER Workshops (30 participants)
Two identical EMPOWER (Emotional and Mental Wellbeing Practices in Workplace Encounters of Racism) workshops are being offered focused on the mental health and emotional wellbeing of Black, Asian and other racially minoritised individuals working in the VCFSE sector. These three hour online sessions will provide:
Practical techniques to stay emotionally safe when facing racial discrimination
Exploration of themes such as internalised oppression
Tools and language to transform difficult incidents into teachable moments
Please find more information about the EMPOWER workshops here and register your interest.
Both opportunities are available on a first come, first service basis so don’t delay in signing up to this unique development opportunity to build your organisation’s capacity to better serve diverse communities while contributing to strengthening the entire VCFSE sector across our region
